Origin of the village name
Damroth indicates the Slavonic provenance names, which gives two versions:
1. Elgot, from the Slavonic word Lhota - Lichota (poor; wretched), therefore it would be a name associated with an attempt to characterize the area (in the sense of - scanty willage)

Renamed for Klochfelde probably associated with scuff traces of Slavic lands in the Nazi time.

HISTORY OF VILLAGE
From the above analysis, the name should be infered that the village is older than it is indicated in the documents. It is known that was founded under German law, and existed therein. As the owners of well-known: in 1469 - the brothers Lorenz and Jurge (Georg) von Essesitz (Jaszyce '). Perhaps, there also existed a rural administrative unit, which acquired them in 1408, the widow after the village administrators of Kobylice - named Raslipivo - and her sons. Among the other owners known: 1652 - Hans van Salisch and Stiebendorf, 1652-1677r. - Stephen Gross and von Schlichting Obisch, 1677-1680 - Hans von Kalkreuth Siegmind.The eighteenth century - the baron's family von Salwitz and Canitz, initially Friedrich Wilhelm, then Gustav Wilhelm and finally Georg Siegmund.
